About Our Mission

Life is not a zero-sum game.

We believe that when previously un-empowered people anywhere achieve economic self-sufficiency and become participating members of the larger economy, it serves our own interests – our individual moral interest, our national economic and security interests, and the interest of humanity at large. The preconditions of such self-sufficiency include political stability and security, economic freedom, and access to: clean water and sanitation, energy, food, housing, health care, education, information and communication, and investment capital.

We also believe that it is important for the United States – both as a nation and as a society – to be economically and socially open and tolerant, involved in and supportive of such developments in the world.

Although we are much smaller than the problem area we’ve decided to tackle, we’re looking for ways to use our resources to further long-term improvements in some of these causes, both locally and globally. We’ll also probably focus more narrowly once we’ve had some time to learn where we can do the most good.

We are a donor-advised charitable fund operating under the auspices of Greater Horizons. Our own community is Parker, Colorado.
